Do you offer live call answering services in Spanish?

Yes.  Spanish bilingual service is included with every account at no additional cost.  Whether Spanish-speaking callers are common or occasional to your business, we provide customizable options free of charge to ensure exceptional experiences for your Spanish and English-speaking callers.

Bilingual coverage by US-based receptionists is available 5am-7pm MST every day of the week, with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Because we’re based in Phoenix, Arizona, which doesn’t observe daylight saving time, your local equivalent may shift by one hour from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November:

  • Eastern Time: 7am-9pm EST / 8am-10pm EDT
  • Central Time: 6am-8pm CST / 7am-9pm CDT
  • Mountain Time: 5am-7pm MST / 6am-8pm MDT (where daylight saving is observed)
  • Pacific Time: 4am-6pm PST / 5am-7pm PDT
  • Alaska Time: 3am-5pm AKST / 4am-6pm AKDT
  • Hawaii Time: 2am-4pm HST (no daylight savings)

After-hours surcharges apply to bilingual call answering on weekends and federal holidays.

Are calls answered within the United States?

Yes, during core business hours. Our US-based receptionists are available to answer calls between 5am and 7pm MST seven days a week, however an after-hours surcharge applies to calls outside 5am–7pm MST Monday to Friday (including all weekend) or on a US Federal Holiday. Here’s how core hours translate across US time zones:

  • Eastern Time: 7am-9pm EST / 8am-10pm EDT
  • Central Time: 6am-8pm CST / 7am-9pm CDT
  • Mountain Daylight Time (where observed): 6am-8pm MDT
  • Pacific Time: 4am-6pm PST / 5am-7pm PDT
  • Alaska Time: 3am-5pm AKST / 4am-6pm AKDT
  • Hawaii Time: 2am-4pm HST (no daylight saving)

Calls from 7pm–5am MST are handled by our equally skilled, English-speaking team in Australia – trained to the same high standards and delivering the same quality of service around the clock. In local time, that overnight window is:

  • Eastern Time: 9pm–7am EST / 10pm–8am EDT
  • Central Time: 8pm–6am CST / 9pm–7am CDT
  • Mountain Daylight Time (where observed): 8pm–6am MDT
  • Pacific Time: 6pm–4am PST / 7pm–5am PDT
  • Alaska Time: 5pm-3am AKST / 6pm-4am AKDT
  • Hawaii Time: 4pm-2am HST

How do virtual call answering services work?

Having a virtual call answering service is easy! With ReceptionHQ, an experienced and friendly call center agent answers your business calls and politely greets your callers based on your script.

Our agents can screen calls and handle them however you prefer. If you want call transfers, an agent will always announce who is calling and about what, and then transfer the call. They can take messages, answer FAQs, schedule appointments and more.
