  • ReceptionistPlus: From $35/month (includes calls based on your chosen plan tier)

Once you use your included allocation, additional calls or minutes are charged at your plan’s excess rate.

Is $25/month really enough for professional call answering?

It depends on your typical call volume and whether you just want a message-taking service. Our MessageExpress plan starting at $25/month includes access to:

  • Professional US-based receptionists during business hours (including bilingual support if required)
  • After-hours answering (if required)
  • Personalized greeting in your business name
  • Message-taking with instant email or SMS notifications
  • Online portal access

There’s also no setup fees and no lock-in contract.

As this is a PAYG call answering solution, in addition to the monthly fee you pay an additional $1.99 per call answered.

This plan is perfect for solo operators, freelancers and micro-businesses who don’t receive many calls and just want messages taken. It’s also great for reception overflow or intermittent use.

Our new ReceptionistPlus 15 plan also offers exceptional entry-level value. A special hybrid between our MessageExpress service and our standard ReceptionistPlus plans, capturing name, number and message with call transfers also possible, for $39 per month it includes 15 calls answered.

Whichever plan you start on, you can easily upgrade to more comprehensive plans as your business grows.

On per-minute plans, do you round up call minutes like other providers?

No. Most answering services round every call up to the nearest minute, which can significantly increase your costs. For example, a 61-second call would be billed as 2 minutes.

On ReceptionHQ per-minute plans, you’re charged for the exact seconds taken for managing each call. So if a receptionist takes 61 seconds for handling a call, you’re billed for 1 minute and 1 second.

On plans with included minutes, we deduct the exact time used from your remaining monthly allocation.

This transparent, pay-only-for-what-you-use approach can save you hundreds of dollars annually compared to providers who round up.

Should I choose per-call or per-minute pricing?

We offer per-call pricing on our MessageExpress and Receptionist Plus plans. We offer per-minute pricing on our MyAssistant and MyDiary plans.

Choose per-call pricing if:

  • Your calls are typically brief (simple messages, quick inquiries)
  • You value predictable costs per interaction
  • Most calls require similar handling time

Choose per-minute pricing if:

  • Your calls vary significantly in length
  • Detailed information capture is essential
  • You want to pay only for the exact time used

Both models include the same professional service quality. You can also switch between models as your needs change – there’s no lock-in contract.

What makes ReceptionHQ’s pricing different from other answering services?

Unlike most competitors who charge $100-$350 for entry-level service, ReceptionHQ offers professional US-based call answering from just $25/month. We also give you the choice between two pricing models – pay-per-call or pay-per-minute – so you can select whichever works best for your business requirements and call patterns.

Additionally, we publish all our pricing transparently on our website, while many competitors hide their rates behind sales calls. No surprises, no hidden fees – just honest, upfront pricing.
